My Story
Anna Wilton-Clark
BSc Animal Health, Int'l DipAO
I grew up in Okotoks, Alberta with a lifelong love for animals and an early certainty that I wanted to build my life around caring for them. Throughout my childhood, I spent countless hours riding both english and western, hunting with our family labrador retrievers, and spending as much time outdoors as possible. These passions led me to the University of Alberta, where I completed a Bachelor of Science in Animal Health, followed by years working in veterinary clinics. Continuing to pursue my interest in animal care, I began studying equine and canine osteopathy through London College of Animal Osteopathy. This pursuit has allowed me to combine my scientific background with a holistic approach to animal wellness.
I believe that:
-
Normal use builds strength, unmanaged strain leads to imbalance.
-
Healthy systems recover. When they don’t, something needs attention.
-
Wear and tear is normal, unmanaged wear and tear is not.
-
Pain signals are information.
-
Performance improves when the body functions correctly.
-
A proactive owner prevents breakdown instead of reacting to it.
-
Education builds trust.

My Approach
My approach to animal osteopathy is rooted in a drive to enhance the wellbeing of both equine and canine partners. With my experience working alongside sports medicine veterinarians, I bring a performance focused perspective that allows me to support athletes at every level. As a rider myself -- across both english and western disciplines -- I understand the demands placed on horses and can tailor treatment plans with true insight into their work, movement, and challenges. Working closely alongside active sporting dogs, I understand the physical demands of training, competition, and recovery. Anchored by a strong scientific background, my practice blends evidence-based knowledge with a keen understanding of the unique needs of every animal, allowing me to deliver a more informed, effective, and individualized osteopathic approach. I care equally for working animals and beloved family companions, ensuring each receives the same level of thoughful care.
